You can install the Sugar Outlook plugin to sync emails and other data between Outlook and CRM.
📌 **Note:** The Outlook plugin is not compatible with version 6 of CRM.
Log in to CRM with your username and password.
Click your name, located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, to view the User Preferences page.
Download the appropriate installation file to match the version of Microsoft Outlook.
Completely unzip or extract the downloaded file.
Open the extracted folder and double-click the Setup.exe file to begin installation and setup.
Click **Next**.
Accept the agreement and click Next.
Click **Next**.
This displays the Confirm Installation dialogue box.
Click **Next**.
This begins the installation process. When the installation completes, a message appears confirming the plugin has been successfully installed.
Click Close.
Configure the plugin
Configure the Sugar plugin to point to the Sugar server and establish your login credentials.
Open Microsoft Outlook. Microsoft Outlook displays the Sugar toolbar directly beneath the standard toolbar.
Click **Add-Ins**.
📌 **Note:** You can also access these settings by clicking the **File** tab in Outlook.
Click **Sugar Options** to access the Sugar plugin configuration settings.
In the Connection section, enter the Access CRM username and password.
In the URL field, specify the URL of the Sugar server instance.
Use the Test Connections button to verify the settings..
If the settings are correct, the Test Results dialogue box displays a message confirming that the test was successful.
Click OK to close the dialogue box and return to Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook.
