This issue is caused by a conflict of trying to save the quote and the product at the same time. There is not a permanent solution for this at the moment but one thing you can do to work around it is the following
Select the product name to load into the product record
Edit the cost directly on the product record
Go back into the quote, this will now have edited the totals as well
