Resetting your password

Access CRM 13+

If you are using version 13 or higher of Access CRM, Access Workspace credentials are no longer used to log into the CRM.

Additionally, as of version 13, user's passwords can no longer be manually changed in the CRM by another Admin user - the Admin user can only send the Forgot Password email from the affected users' Profile page.

Please do the following to reset your password:

  1. On the log in screen select Forgot Password?

  2. Enter your username and email (for Access CRM users these will ordinarily be the same)

  3. Once you receive an automated email, follow the instructions in the email

If the 'Forgot Password' link is not available on the log-in screen, please ask a CRM Administrator user to enable this in the Password Management section of the CRM, under Admin > Users > Password Management.

If you get an error when using the 'Forgot Password' link, please ask a CRM Administrator user to confirm the SMTP Email Settings are correct.

An Administrator user can also initiate the password reset process in the CRM with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > User Management and select the user (e.g., Jim Brennan) from the list view.

  2. Select "Reset User Password" from the Actions menu.

  3. A pop-up box will appear confirming the reset. Click "Confirm" to proceed.

Access CRM version 12

If you are on Access CRM version 12, for resetting a user's password this should be done in Workspace for CRM

  1. In the browser go to Workspace here.

  2. Enter your email and click Next

  3. Click Forgot Password

  4. Enter your email and click Send Me Instructions

  5. Check your email, you will receive a reset link

  6. Follow the instructions on screen to reset your password

Note: This will change the password used to access Workspace and CRM

Push the login details to CRM:

  1. Log in to Workspace as the user

  2. Click the Access Button

  3. Click the CRM icon

  4. This will push the log in details through to CRM

Note: If you are using 2fa (Two Factor Authentication) you will need to disable this before you change the password, and enable it once you have completed the change
